Jacqueline O’Malley, a highly experienced fundraiser and active member of the South Florida community, has joined Baptist Health Foundation, the fundraising division of Baptist Health South Florida.

O’Malley will serve as an assistant vice president at the foundation, actively fundraising as well as overseeing and identifying a variety of philanthropic initiatives and growth strategies, with a special focus on the new Miami Cancer Institute.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, O’Malley had served in a series of progressive roles at United Way of Miami-Dade since 1995. Most recently, she was group vice president overseeing a team of 28 staff members, leading the annual campaign and collaborating with key contributors and volunteers to achieve fundraising objectives.

“Jacquie’s vast experience, longtime involvement in the community and keen ability to convey the importance of philanthropy will be invaluable assets to our organization,” said Baptist Health Foundation CEO Bill Banchs.

“She joins us at an exciting time, on the heels of a fiscal year in which we raised the highest amount of funds in our history. I am confident her talent and leadership skills will benefit us in our pursuit of even more ambitious goals,” Banchs added.

“It is an incredible honor to join an institution that is deeply committed to improving the health and well-being of the communities it serves,” O’Malley said. “I look forward to working alongside the Baptist team of professionals and volunteers to generate additional support and resources for Baptist Health and its Miami Cancer Institute. It is particularly exciting to be part of Miami Cancer Institute’s start here in our community.”

O’Malley received a BS degree in Communications and Broadcast Production from Florida International University. Her current community affiliations include serving on the board of the Chapman Partnership for the Homeless and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce SEO program committee.
