Sedano’s Supermarkets and healthcare provider Leon recently teamed to launch LeonPlus, a program designed to combat food insecurity in the community.
Among many exclusive benefits that will be offered, members of the LeonPlus health program will be eligible to receive up to $1,200 a year to use on food items from their neighborhood Sedano’s stores.
The two celebrated Hispanic businesses share a steadfast dedication to the community they serve and have a history of supporting their customers.
“Joining forces with our friends from Leon is an honor, especially when it is for the good of our community. Supporting our customers through programs that benefit their overall well-being is inspiring and something we hope to continue providing to our Sedano’s customers,” said Javier Herrán, chief marketing officer at Sedano’s Supermarkets.
Through the LeonPlus benefit, those who sign up will have easier access to food and, consequently, live a healthier and more active life. Sedano’s and Leon will encourage members to focus on their well-being and nutrition by helping them choose healthier food options at Sedano’s stores.
Customers of both Sedano’s and Leon share the same cultural values as do the founding families of both organizations.
