The Town of Cutler Bay will host, in partnership with Encompass Health, a free Stroke Awareness Health Fair on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Town Special Events coordinator Maria Herrera-Mendoza encourages all residents to attend.
“Join us for this free health fair, focused on helping you recognize the signs and take action when it matters most,” Herrera-Mendoza said. “Enjoy health screenings, stroke risk assessments, educational resources, and activities for the whole family. Stop by, get informed, and take a step toward a healthier future.”
The event will take place at Encompass Health, 20601 Old Cutler Rd. in Cutler Bay. There will be food trucks and activities for children.
According to the U.S. Government Center for Disease Control, every year more than 795,000 people in the United States have a stroke. Some are mild, while some are more serious.
