Sunshine Gasoline Distributors is hosting a year-long fundraiser benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida.
The gas distributor is designating pumps at three of its gas stations to donate one cent per gallon, on any level of gas, to RMHC of South Florida now through July 31, 2022.
“We really appreciate Sunshine Gasoline for hosting this huge fundraiser for us. This will be one of the longest fundraisers in our RMHC South Florida’s history, with the potential to raise substantial funds,” said RMHC executive director Soraya Rivera-Moya. “The funds raised will be used to help provide a ‘home away from home,’ hot meals and support to the families who stay at our Ronald McDonald House in Miami while their children are receiving lifesaving treatment at nearby pediatric hospitals.”
During the year-long fundraiser, anyone who fills their tank at an RMHC pump at any of the participating gas stations listed will be automatically donating to the charity to help RMHC fulfill its mission of “keeping families together.”
Participating locations:
Exxon Gas Station, 1690 NW 87 Ave., pumps 11 and 12;
Chevron Gas Station, 8645 SW 72 St., pumps 1, 2, 23 and 24, and
Chevron Gas Station, 15698 SW 88 St., pumps 1 and 2.
“We are proud to help such a wonderful charity with this very unique fundraiser,” said Maximo Alvarez, president of Sunshine Gasoline Distributors Inc. “We have started with activating it at designated pumps at three of our gas stations for a full year, but we are excited to expand this fundraiser by adding more pumps at different gas stations in the future, and therefore raising even more funds to help the children and families of the Ronald McDonald House in Miami.”
