The countdown to The Mane Event has begun. Miami’s most anticipated holiday shopping extravaganza benefiting Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center will take place on Sunday, Nov. 2, in Miami’s historic Horse Country.

Now in its ninth year, the annual fundraiser invites VIPs to sip and shop at the stable located at 6105 SW 125 Ave. in West Kendall between 1 and 4 p.m. Proceeds support special needs riding programs at Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center, Miami’s premier nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals facing some of life’s most difficult physical, mental, and emotional challenges, such as autism, PTSD, and Down Syndrome through meaningful interactions with horses.

Guests will be attired in the latest fashions with a dash of equestrian chic and will indulge in seasonally inspired refreshments and artisanal bites while exploring an exquisite range of gift ideas from local vendors. As part of the experience, attendees will be treated to a riding demonstration, as well as a fashion show featuring the latest in trend-worthy styles.

Guests also can enjoy performances by local artists, participate in a must-see silent auction, and most importantly, meet the extraordinary therapy horses — Honey, Banjo, Sonny and Chloe — while touring the state-of-the-art facility.

The event is spearheaded by a volunteer committee of community leaders dedicated to the mission of Whispering Manes. The Mane Event aims to raise critical funds to bolster Whispering Manes’s transformative equine-assisted programs, which have empowered hundreds of children and adults with special needs.

“The Mane Event gathering is more than a fundraiser — it’s an opportunity for us to engage the community and educate them on the miraculous impact of human-horse interactions, said Helen Picard, executive director of Whispering Manes. “Equine therapy is life-changing, and proceeds from The Mane Event will enable us to continue offering our programs at affordable costs to those facing physical, developmental, sensory, or emotional challenges.”

Advanced online tickets are available for $60, while tickets at the door will be priced at $75.
