The Alhambra Orchestra, led by artistic director Daniel Andai, will present as soloists three outstanding young South Florida musicians, winners of the orchestra’s annual concerto competition.

The concert is Sunday, Jan. 21, 7:30 p.m., in the Wertheim Performing Arts Center, 10910 SW 17 St. Admission is free and no tickets are needed.

Gabe Rodriguez, a cellist from Boca Raton, will perform Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1; Michael Li, a violinist from West Palm Beach, will be featured in the famous Mendelssohn Violin Concerto, and harpist Noa Michaels, a Fort Lauderdale resident, will play Debussy’s Sacred and Profane Dances. In addition to accompanying the soloists, the orchestra will perform lively opera overtures by Verdi and Strauss.
