The Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) began offering Miami-Dade County residents convenient Home Chemical Drop-off mobile events in September. The dropoff events are scheduled to continue through January 2024, but the times have changed. Remaining events now will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on their scheduled dates.
Through this program, residents can safely continue to dispose of household products that can be potentially harmful for the environment if not disposed of properly.
Requirements:
Drop-off events are open to all Miami-Dade County residents and ID is required. Patrons must present a valid State of Florida driver’s license or identification card to verify residency in Miami-Dade County. The events are not open for business or commercial use.
Residents are asked to pack all containers upright in a sturdy box and tighten the lids and caps. Leaking containers should be placed inside a larger container, along with absorbent material such as newspaper. All containers should be labeled, and if the original label has fallen off, re-label it with the contents or any information you have or label it “Unknown Chemicals.”

Saturday, Nov. 11, North Dade Trash and Recycling Center, 21500 NW 47 Ave.
