The 63rd season of Howard Palmetto Baseball & Softball (HPBSA) kicks off in January. Registration is now open at www.howardpalmetto.com.
HPBSA is South Florida’s largest and oldest recreational baseball and softball league. With roots deep in Pinecrest and Palmetto Bay, it’s a place where players from the 1960s now watch their grandchildren play. The league welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes, offering T-Ball, Baseball, and Softball for the sheer love of the game. Baseball games take place at Suniland/Greer in Pinecrest or at Chapman Field Park in Coral Gables. T-Ball, sponsored by the Marlins, is held at Coral Reef in Palmetto Bay, and Softball games are at Palmetto Bay Park.
As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, HPBSA thrives on parental involvement. It’s a place where families and players forge lifelong friendships, enhancing the community’s spirit. The league is inclusive, welcoming all skill levels from throughout South Florida, so invite your family and friends to join the fun.
HPBSA offers a unique chance to be part of your children’s lives beyond screens. Volunteer as a coach or team parent to stay engaged in their social circle, which all too quickly evolves. Use this opportunity to coach, cheer, and create lasting memories with your kids, staying at the heart of their world for as long as you can.
At Howard Palmetto, it’s not just about scoring runs or winning games; it’s about fun, friendship, physical activity, and learning key life skills like teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Play ball!
