Yesterday marked the first day of Black History Month, to honor the historic month, the 1 Hotel brand has partnered with Uncle Nearest 1884 Tennessee whiskey to feature a specialty Old Fashioned cocktail. Throughout the entire month of February, at 1 Hotel South Beach specifically, guests can enjoy the “Uncle Nearest Old Fashioned” at Drift, the hotel’s signature lobby bar and Habitat. Uncle Nearest is the world’s first known African American Distiller. The brand is the fastest-growing American whiskey in U.S. history with the Most Awarded American Whiskey or Bourbon of 2019, 2020, and 2021. To commemorate and honor African- American heritage, Uncle Nearest is donating a portion of all the proceeds to HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities).
