As Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Chairman, we have engaged dozens of stakeholders, who have committed to investing in the future of Miami Beach and have already met several times this year. The goal of the Chamber’s Stakeholders Group is to unify the objectives of business leaders and make significant inroads with City of Miami Beach elected officials, the community, and various associations. At our most recent meeting, on March 15th, a subcommittee was established and tasked with identifying methods of engaging our business community more directly with the residents of Miami Beach and to help identify common core issues of interest. I would like to thank Sandor Scher (Claro Development), Matis Cohen (Kahunah Properties), Abraham Galbut (Crescent Heights), Michael Berman (Michael Berman Consulting), Melissa Rubin (COMPASS), Russell Galbut (Crescent Heights), Peggy Benua (Dream South Beach), David Martin (Terra Group) and Keith London (Vice Mayor of Hallandale Beach) for volunteering their time to serve on this subcommittee. These efforts, by all, will create a dialogue at all levels of our diverse community to reach common goals to solve today’s and tomorrow’s issues.
Finally, I would like to commend the Co-Chairs of the Chamber’s Real Estate Council Seth Feuer (COMPASS) and Susan Askew (Reanimar) for their hard work in organizing the City National Bank Better Beach Awards under the leadership of the Event Chair Debi Quade (Cervera Real Estate) and the event subcommittee. The event will honor over 50 finalists – the most ever – for the awards program recognizing the best of Miami Beach real estate. You don’t want to miss this event on April 27 at the 1 Hotel South Beach. It will surely sell out.
