Chairman March Letter

Chairman March Letter

Chairman March LetterWhen I became Chairman, I challenged Chamber staff with creating more memorable and fun experiential events for the members.

Already this year, our members have shot hoops at the home of the Miami Heat at the American Airlines Arena before a game, ridden on WhizzyRide’s motor bikes around Miami Beach, learned to dance Samba with the Rhythm Foundation, and watched the fascinating “Citizen Jane” film during the Miami Film Festival and engaged with the director following the film – just to name a few. As the Chamber grows and looks to attracting millennial members, we need to adapt with the times and create memorable interactions with one another. The more we engage with each other in interesting ways, the more we will do business with each other.

In the next couple of months, the Chamber will be organizing a Wynwood showcase/tour with Atlantic Broadband, participating with Big Bus Tours in this year’s Gay Pride event, touring the airport highlighting new sustainability efforts, and exploring local neighborhoods on walking tours. Additionally, this year’s gala will be full of experiences that include magicians and other “magical” surprises.

We are always looking for new and unique experiences for our members! If you have any ideas in creating experiential events or work for an organization that creates them, please contact the Chamber at 305-674-1300 and ask to speak to Danny Diaz.

I hope you have had a chance to experience one of our recent events and look forward to seeing you at other events in the coming months.

All the best,
Wayne
