South Floridians and real estate aficionados, take note: one of Miami’s most educational and highly-anticipated real estate events is quickly approaching! The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Real Estate Council and the Miami Association of Realtors come together on Friday September 28th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to host their annual Real Estate Luncheon, held this year at the luxurious W South Beach Hotel. “Anchored in Concrete- Miami Leading the Way!” will feature speakers to educate the local real estate community on what they need to know about the recent upswing of South Florida properties. Going from bust to boom in a mere year, the Miami market’s recent recovery is largely driven by strong demand for high-end luxury properties, recordbreaking condo and house selling prices, and an astounding number of new construction projects that are almost entirely sold.
The event’s notable panelists this year Carlos Rosso, The Related Group;Carlos Rosso, The Related Group; Teresa King Kinney, CEO of Miami Association of Realtors; Jeffrey M. Cohen, Esslinger Wooten Maxwell Inc. Realtors; Alyce Robertson, Executive Director of Miami Downtown Development Authority; and Beth Butler, President and COO of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. All will share their personal expertise and advice to help guests walk away with a better understanding of the booming real estate market.
“This event focuses on what segment of the real estate market has improved, what properties are seeing the greatest demand and why, and whether industry and community experts perceive this amazing rebound of the 2012 Miami market to be sustainable and ‘anchored’ in tangible value,” says Madeleine Romanello, broker- associate at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and MBCC Real Estate Council Chair.
Since 2005, Miami has transformed into a globally-recognized city with the culture and amenities that major metropolitan centers demand. New, vibrant initiatives such as Art Basel Miami Beach, Miami Art Fair Week, the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, and the new Florida Marlins stadium have each helped earn Miami the Wall Street Journal’s “New Global City” title.
“The Real Estate Council has been identifying the shifts and trends in our real estate market. They have been bringing together the community and its leaders to educate and help transition our market to be better in the future,” said Jason Loeb, Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Chairman.
