Today it was announced that Destination Sport Miami has selected OHLA as the construction management firm to build North America’s largest indoor Sportscenter. Encompassing nearly 1,000,000 square feet under air, the new construction project features athletic offerings for every age and ability. Within the facility will be; 2 NHL size ice rinks, 1 full size FIFA/NFL Regulation Field, 36 Volleyball Courts, 18 NBA Size Basketball Courts, 11 Indoor Tennis Courts, 22,500 sq ft. E-Sports Arena and Training Center, and a 50 Meter Long Course Olympic Pool in addition to other offerings as well.
Besides the sport offerings, nearly 375,000 square feet of Class A Medical, Office, Educational and Retail space will be in the building, thus creating a “Destination Sport” Experience.

Dave Beaudin , Chief Strategy Officer of Destination Sport Miami shared the timelines for construction and expected opening. “We have commenced the site plan design with our partners with the continued assistance of The Beacon Council and look forward to submitting a pre-application with the required local agencies to move forward.”
