Season 15 kicks off close to home. Many people delight in collecting seashells on the beach, and Florida is a great place to find these natural treasures. Mollusks: More than a Shell,” takes a closer look at the fascinating animals that build these elaborate skeletons. Discover never seen micro-mollusks and explore the mysterious world of blackwater diving, to encounter otherworldly creatures.

Next, travel with us to Belize’s stunning barrier reef, which is home to a diverse array of top predators like lemon sharks, nurse sharks, tiger sharks, and Caribbean reef sharks. Sharks in Belize: Jaguars of the Sea, looks at a unique collaboration featuring local fishers who leverage their generational knowledge to help marine scientists and fisheries managers keep shark populations healthy for all.

Join us the following week to venture to the high seas of the Atlantic. Perched on an ancient volcano in the open ocean, Bermuda is not only the shipwreck capital of the world, but also home to one of the highest-latitude coral reefs. “Bermuda: Life at Ocean’s Edge, examines the clues these uniquely resilient corals may offer local Bermudians and international scientists for protecting the islands from the accelerating impacts of a changing climate.

And finally, bundle up for a journey to the high Arctic. At the northernmost year-round research station in the world, a team of scientists brave frigid temperatures and perpetual night to solve an ocean mystery. Life in the Dark: The Polar Night, follows experts who are trying to understand how some of the tiniest animals survive at a time of year when their main food source is not available.

“After years of restricted travel during the pandemic, we are thrilled to return to international locations to share ocean stories of global importance with our viewers,” says Series Producer Alexa Elliott.
