Free Monthly Event Launches November 16, Featuring Florida’s Largest Independent Grower And Category-Exclusive Vendors

Carillon Miami Wellness Resort announces the launch of a new Miami Beach regional produce-focused farmers’ market, a complimentary community initiative designed to provide residents with access to fresh, organic, locally sourced produce at affordable prices. The inaugural market will take place on Sunday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the resort’s Ocean Terrace, with markets continuing on the third Sunday of each month through May, highlighting the Florida growing season.

Led by Carillon’s Executive Chef, Chef Christopher Robertson, this monthly Farmer’s Market addresses a critical issue facing Miami Beach: limited access to local, fresh, healthy food options beyond traditional grocery stores, which impacts the quality and cost of produce that locals can easily access. When purchasing for big-box stores, third parties prioritize quantity over quality. With this Farmers’ market, Carillon aims to highlight and support local farmers, provide visitors with accessible, affordable, and high-quality produce, and inspire them to incorporate more organic, nutrient-dense, whole foods into their diets for overall wellness.

“At Carillon, we believe everyone in our community deserves access to fresh, healthy, organic produce at prices that work for their families,” said Chef Christopher Robertson. “This farmer’s market is about quality over quantity, creating a space where farmers build real relationships with consumers and establish their reputation in the community, all while ensuring our neighbors can access the quality fruits and vegetables they deserve. We are excited to share the incredible bounty Florida has to offer.”

The market will feature Farmer Mike’s U-Pick from Bonita Springs, the largest independent grower in Florida. This family-run operation, founded by Michael Clevenger Sr., produces an impressive array of seasonal produce, jams, jellies, honey, as well as meats and cheeses. Farmer Mike’s is also the distributor for other local farms featured at the market, including Lions Farms, Stropharia Farms, C/b Farms, Duda Farms, Harpke Farms, Organic Arts, Wish Farms, Life Farms, and Sunset Farms.

In addition to supporting local farmers, the initiative aims to keep struggling local food vendors in business while fostering community connection. Chef Robertson personally drives to Homestead weekly to harvest produce from JMW Farm, whose land yields tropical orchid fruits and vegetables JMW Farm maintains the land out of love for trees, rather than for profit, making the produce a byproduct of his passion—perfectly aligned with Carillon’s mission of accessible wellness.

“Local food vendors are struggling, and this farmer’s market activates the community to keep them in business while truly serving the people who live here,” added Chef Robertson.

The market will also feature partnerships with the following vendors, who will have category exclusivity, ensuring a curated selection of the highest-quality offerings in each product category.

      • Sunshine Organics for additional local tropical and exotic produce.
      • Compost for Life, which already has a presence at Carillon, composting organic waste across the resort, including for The Strand and Tambourine Room restaurants, will not only handle waste mitigation by converting all organic waste into compost and recycling glass and aluminum, but also educate visitors on how to implement composting at home.
      • the biostation will offer bespoke functional nutrition energy drinks tailored to individuals’ needs, combining the benefits of organic produce with pharmaceutical-grade vitamins, B12 shots, and Nutrient IVs, as well as complimentary InBody scans to measure body composition metrics.
      • Love Loaf for artisan baked goods.
      • Artzybella will be offering flower bouquet-making classes.

Participation in the market is complementary for vendors who share Carillon’s sustainability mission and commit to offering lower prices to promote healthy eating accessibility. The initiative is part of the resort’s broader Carillon Cares program, established in 2020 to give back to the community and local organizations through impactful initiatives focused on three brand pillars: community, environment, and wellness.

The Farmer’s Market at Carillon will take place monthly on the third Sunday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from November through May at the Ocean Terrace at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, 6801 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. The events are free and open to the public.
