Gigi Giusti, from Douglas Elliman’s Florida Brokerage, was awarded as an honoree at the 2016 Fort Lauderdale’s Finest Gala. The event honors the Fort Lauderdale area’s top young professionals for their outstanding contributions to the community and fundraising commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Giusti was awarded third place at the gala for raising over $7k, nearly doubling her original goal of $4,225. Her contribution and efforts in raising money for the foundation will go toward research in controlling and curing the terminal cystic fibrosis illness. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was founded in 1955 when most children who discovered having the genetic illness did not see their first day of elementary school. Today, with people like Giusti dedicating time and effort to raise money to fund research, the median predicted age of survival has increased to mid-30’s.
