Proceeds to Assist with Medical Expenses

Keller Williams Miami Beach hosted a Happy Hour fundraiser at The Lincoln Eatery on Friday, October 1st for a Miami Beach local resident, Sergio “Aquaman” Echeverria. Echeverria, who was the dive master at Miami Beach Marina for over 25 years, recently suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Sergio taught many people how to dive and explore the wonders of the ocean more close-up, and for that he is much loved in the community. Sergio has also been a Keller Williams real estate agent for 15 years. The Keller Williams program, KW Cares, will offer matching grants to double the proceeds.

The fundraising event is to help Sergio with some of his mounting medical bills.  The event is FREE and everyone in the community is welcome. Many raffle prizes and LIVE auction items donated by many local businesses including Dream Hotel, Naked Taco, Cafe Avanti, Harry’s Pizzeria, South Beach Seafood Festival, Oliver’s Bistro, K’Alma Spa at the Victor Hotel, Tequiztlan Mexican, Micky Burke’s, JF Haden’s & Tropical Distillery, Montaraz Una Obra Maestra Jamon Iberico, Fortune House Hotel & Suites, Madison’s Restaurant, Marcela Acosta Original Necklace, Green Sapphire Ring by Sazingg, Sudsie’s Drycleaning, Trader Joe’s, and SO MUCH MORE!

Some may remember Sergio from a CBS News story last month, which featured showcased a program to help make the beach and the ocean more accessible to people with disabilities. (https://www.winknews.com/2021/08/09/volunteers-make-florida-beach-accessible-to-all/)
