Letter from the Chair

I can’t believe the year is almost over! At the Chamber we are gearing up to end 2014 with a bang by inviting you, your friends, colleagues and family to attend the Links Project Ceremony on December 16 at 9:30 am. Gathering on the sidewalk of Prairie Ave and Dade Blvd, Miami Beach community members will commemorate the Miami Beach Chamber Education foundation reaching its goal of raising funds for a full year of teacher grants. Members of the business community and students from Miami Beach Senior High have been invited to stand shoulder to shoulder holding paper links along Dade Blvd. This act will symbolize the strong connection between the business community and education. A commemorative aerial photo will be taken to preserve the moment. We ask you to become part of Chamber history and join us.

Additionally, we are excited to welcome once again another installation of Art Basel taking place December 4-7. With miles of sandy beaches, Art Deco architecture, worldclass art museums, and a glittering nightlife, Miami Beach ranks among America’s most iconic cities. During Art Basel, it embraces the artworld with special exhibitions at museums and galleries across the city, transforming the week into a dense and dynamic cultural event. The amount of events happening on the beach is just incredible. Please check out our front page story detailing the hottest events happening all over the city.

Lastly, I’d like to wish you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving and remind you that during the holidays we will be collecting unused toys that we will distribute to local organizations. If you would like to donate a toy, please contact the chamber at 305-674-1300 for more information.

Best regards,

Michael S. Goldberg
