The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce staff has been tirelessly planning major networking events for this summer and fall. One of our signature events, the City National Bank Champions of Business lunch, was held on July 22 at the 1 Hotel. The event was organized by the Emerging Leadership Council and I’d like to recognize Joseph Landesman/UBS Financial and Kim Cohen/Oasis Outsourcing for their leadership in organizing this successful event and for their service as Co-Chairs of the council.
Additionally, the Chamber’s Real Estate Council, chaired by the founder of Borges + Associates, Reinaldo Borges, is organizing its Real Estate Luncheon, which will be on September 16th at the Ritz South Beach. The title sponsor for the event, which is held in partnership with the Miami Association of Realtors, will be Comcast and the panel will focus on disruptive technology in the real estate industry. In addition to Comcast being on the panel, the new Florida brokerage Compass will be a part of the panel. We are excited to announce that Co-Founder and CEO of The New Tropic Chris Sopher will be the moderator. We will be announcing an additional panelist and the keynote speaker in the coming weeks. This event is always sold out and anticipated each year by its almost 400 attendees.
Again, I’d like to commend Reinaldo for all the hard work he has put into the Real Estate Council. If you are interested in real estate or already part of the industry, you shouldn’t miss these Council meetings. The Council meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 am at the Chamber. They support each other by sharing expertise, offering guidance and knowledge, exploring new educational opportunities and facilitating communication within the industry and community. Miami Real Estate faces unique challenges and the Council provides the resources to enable development of unique solutions.
If you are interested in attending any of the aforementioned events, call the Chamber at 305-674-1300 for more information.
Have great a month!
