Local organizations merge to create largest realtor association in U.S.

The Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches and the Realtor Association of Miami-Dade County are proud to announce their merger into one association. Once approved by the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the name of the new association will be the MIAMI Association of REALTORS. The merger, which became effective on August 2, 2010, is the largest in the history of NAR and brings together 23,000 Realtors in South Florida. The new association is now the largest in the nation and represents 98 percent of the Realtors in Miami-Dade County. Together We Are Better! In a marketplace like Miami, where on average 80 percent of buyers and sellers use an agent or broker during the real estate transaction, the new association is theorganization for Realtors in South Florida and the extensive buying and selling publics they serve. It is uniquely positioned to provide South Florida Realtors and their clients with the most comprehensive and leading-edge real estate marketing tools and services available. Enhanced Marketing Tools & Services to Better Serve Buyers and Sellers There are more resources free and available to South Florida residents online (www.miamire.com) than to consumers almost anywhere else in the entire country: Neighborhood Information – Find out what is going on in your neighborhood or find your next home by searching one of the many sites available. Property Search – Go to www.miamire.com and click on “Find a Home” for the listings and information in the language of your choice. Terrafly – search for the newly added “short sales” and “foreclosure” searches along with a myriad of other services and information created by FIU for the association. Listing Book – Set up or have your Realtor set up your own free customized webpage so you can search, save, make comments, stay on top of the market or plan for future purchases. The association hosts more than 600 member seminars and events each year and offers more than $30,000 in free premium marketing tools and services to each of its members to contribute to their success and help them better serve consumers. The new association includes a Residential Association, a Commercial Association, a Broward County Board of Governors, an award-winning International Council and an Educational Foundation. International Partnerships MIAMI Realtors has more than 65 signed agreements, which generate substantial referral business and other opportunities, with partner organizations throughout the world.
