Major Lazer Presents “Relief is the Mission” Concert, Powered by BACARDÍ – 100% of Ticket Sales Going to Victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria

Major Lazer, the talented trio made famous from their fusion of Caribbean beats and American music, last night in Miami, presented “Relief is the Mission,” powered by BACARDÍ, a benefit concert where 100 percent of ticket sales going directly to victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The concert featured performances by Major Lazer, Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, Jamaican reggae artist Tarrus Riley, Trinidadian singer Machel Montana, and Jamaican artist Koshens.  Major Lazer played a crowd-pleasing set, filled with their hit songs Lean On, Know No Better, and Original Don, along with samples of songs like Mask Off and current chart-topper Bodak Yellow.  They also brought out collaborators Machel Montana and Koshens for a special live performance of Front of the Line, from their newest EP.

Major Lazer and event organizers worked hand in hand with Paradigm Agency’s Social Impact department, and beneficiaries of the event include: Save The Children, ConPRmetidos, and Global Giving;  over 8,000 tickets were sold.

“Relief is the Mission,” is one of several charity benefit concerts supported by BACARDÍ.  BACARDÍ has firmly committed to supporting the recovery efforts, rebuilding of lives and the communities it serves – donating over $4.3 million to relief agencies and the regions affected by these terrible disasters, including Puerto Rico, Florida, and the Caribbean.  BACARDÍ’s home is the Caribbean.
