–Enhanced Economic Development, Community and Business Services Launched in North Beach –
The North Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (“North Beach CRA”) opened a new office at 962 Normandy Drive today, in the heart of the North Beach community. The North Beach CRA is focused on revitalizing the district with redevelopment programs, projects and investments tailored for the neighborhood.
The district office is part of the North Beach CRA’s efforts to build awareness and provide businesses and residents with one-on-one support, guidance and information on the near-term and long-term projects and initiatives developed to invigorate the district, including infrastructure, resiliency, and affordable and workforce housing.
“North Beach has lagged in revitalization, economic growth and investment so we are very excited to open the new North Beach CRA office,” said Mayor Dan Gelber. “This office will provide the community with an accessible place to help elevate our quality of life and economic development.”
“Small businesses are the heart of our economy and our goal, with the North Beach CRA district office, is to ensure our businesses and residents are aware of the available tools and resources that will be generated and delivered by the North Beach CRA,” shared assistant city manager Rickelle Williams. “We know firsthand the impact a community redevelopment agency can make by revitalizing and enlivening the neighborhood, building business capacity, and unlocking the economic potential needed to grow and thrive.”
“The North Beach CRA office will be the frontline of North Beach revitalization and the funds generated will be put to work to enhance, beautify and activate the community,” added Jose Smith, Chair of the Ad Hoc North Beach CRA Advisory Committee.
The district office officially opens on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, and will be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for appointments and walk-ins.
