The #BWOTY Awards Are Presented by City National Bank
The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business Council and City National Bank will announce the Badass Women of The Year winners at a luncheon on August 27, 2021 at the Loews Miami Beach. As previously announced, the Chamber accepted nominations for professionals who excelled in 7 categories and collected over 80 finalists. The categories are:
- Construction/Trades
- Military/First Responders
- Science/Technology
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Government
- Sports
- Women in Business (business owners and/or professionals that are not in the aforementioned industries)
“The mission of the Women’s Business Council is to promote women in business, empower and advocate ….for starters, ” said Chair of the Women’s Business Council DeAnne Connolly Graham. “Through events like these, our council can create positive change for women and girls locally and even globally. I want to thank the committee for their hard work and leadership”
“The point of the program is to honor exceptional women in industries that are traditionally dominated by males and that are making a difference in their field,” said Vice President, Marketing Manager Marketing & Communications Isabel Fernandez of City National Bank. “We are proud to partner with the Chamber on the BWOTY Awards and to help local charities that focus on supporting women and young girls.”
The event committee judged on a specific criteria which includes: the nominee’s business location, their leadership and innovative skills, the impact they made in the business community, how they have driven value to their organization, and been a valuable member of the community. The committee is comprised of Isabel Fernandez (City National Bank), DeAnne Connolly Graham (Charter Agency), Stephanie Leger (First Rate Hospitality), Robin Jacobs (Miami Beach Cosmetic Surgery) and Mirielle Enlow (Keller Williams).
Winners will be given $1,000 to donate to a vetted charity/nonprofit benefit that supports women and young girls.
City National Bank is the title sponsor of the event and presenting sponsors include Miami Beach Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Center and EisnerAmper.
