The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Meeting, celebrating the start of a new fiscal year and honoring the leaders who continue to shape the Miami Beach business community. The event marked the swearing-in of new Board Members and Council Chairs for the 2025–2026 term, a heartfelt farewell to outgoing Chairman Richard Segal, and the official welcome of incoming Chairman Alfredo J. Gonzalez.

The evening embodied the Chamber’s spirit of connection and culture, with lively mariachi music, domino tables, and tapas that celebrated Hispanic heritage—reflecting the milestone of Alfredo J. Gonzalez becoming only the second Cuban American in the Chamber’s history to serve as Chairman. This moment, recognized during Hispanic Heritage Month, highlighted both the rich cultural traditions and the diversity that strengthen Miami Beach’s business community.

The Chamber expressed deep gratitude to Richard Segal for his dedicated service and leadership over the past two years. Under his guidance, the Chamber strengthened its partnerships, expanded programming, and continued its mission of supporting the Miami Beach business community.

Passing the gavel, the Chamber proudly welcomed Alfredo J. Gonzalez, Partner at Greenberg Traurig, as its new Chairman. Gonzalez, who has a long history with the Chamber and the Miami Beach community, has served for years on the Board and as Vice Chair. His dedication and vision make him a natural fit to lead the organization into its next chapter.“ I am deeply honored to serve as Chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce,” said Alfredo J. Gonzalez.

“Alfredo has been an incredible asset to the Chamber for many years,” said Brittnie Bassant, President & CEO of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. “He embodies leadership, dedication, and heart. We are grateful to Richard Segal for his outstanding service and thrilled to see Alfredo continue the Chamber’s tradition of excellence as he takes on this new role.”

The Chamber also announced its 2025–2026 Officers:

  • Richard Segal – Immediate Past Chair
  • Bruce Gould – Vice Chair
  • Linsey Lovell – Vice Chair
