The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s (Chamber) is teeing up a day of fun at the Miami Beach Golf Course for their 27th Annual Miami Beach Chamber Golf Classic. The event is happening on Friday, March 24, 2023 starting at 7:30 am with an 8:30 am tee off scheduled. With over a 100 golfers that are scheduled to hit the links and over 20 sponsors to entertain them on the course, the event will be filled with fun activations such as a putting contest sponsored by Abella Med Spa and 1847 Financial, promotional displays, cocktails, activities and more. The winners will receive gifts sponsored by AT&T.

The event benefits the Miami Beach Chamber Education Foundation, an organization that truly gives back to the local community. Leading in support of the cause is decades-long member Boucher Brothers Management/BouYah Watersports as the tournament’s Title Sponsor. Dr. Ino Halegua, City National Bank and Miami CFO support as Platinum Sponsors of the all day tournament. The event is chaired by Chamber Board member Bruce Gould (Bruce F. Gould Foundation), Chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber Education Foundation.

“The ‘Golf Classic’ is one of our most popular Chamber events because it allows our business community to come together in the name of a great cause,” said Chamber Chairman Aaron Tandy. “Our mission is to support the needs of public education and one way we do this is by donating scholarship funds to graduating seniors of Miami Beach Senior High. It’s a great way to give back.”

This year, the Chamber is raising funds to complete a state-of-the art, commercial kitchen at Miami Beach Senior High for students in the Culinary Arts Program. It will help prepare students for the work force immediately after high school and give them the competitive edge that is needed to obtain a position in the ultra-sophisticated culinary industry that is growing in Miami Beach.

Over the years, proceeds from the golf tournament have also funded over $200,000 worth of programming costs for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This program, available at all the public schools in the City of Miami Beach feeder pattern, helps develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills of students from age 3 to 19 and gives them the necessary tools to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
