Miami Beach Community Members Honored at Chamber GalaOver 1,000 guests will gather at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 as the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce honors six distinguished leaders, who have raised the bar for the Miami Beach community, at the 95th Annual Gala, presented by City National Bank. It will be the ultimate magical affair as top business professionals and community leaders will come together for an evening of fabulous experiences as the Gala gets an upgrade featuring incredible entertainment, live music, interactive experiences, and so much more. This year will top all other years with a new location, new vibe, and a whole lot of fun.

In addition to celebrating another successful year as an organization, the event is an annual fundraiser with live and silent auction components to raise funds for the Chamber’s 501(c) 3 Education Foundation. The gala, themed A Magical Affair, is organized by Gala chair, Jessica Fuentes Victor, Gala co-chairs, Jeff Greene and Leila Chang, and a committee of Chamber members.

The evening will be emceed by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman of the Board, Wayne Pathman, partner at Pathman Lewis LLP, along with a special guest star.

This year’s celebrated honorees are:
• Art Basel Miami Beach, will receive the Corporate Citizen Of The Year Award
• Bob Drinon and Breakthrough Beverage Company, will receive the Jan Pfeiffer Distinguished Service Award
• Howard M. Lorber, Douglas Elliman, will receive the Member Of The Decade Award
• Joy V.W. Malakoff, City of Miami Beach Commissioner, will receive the City National Bank Beach High Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award
• Tara Soloman, TARA Ink., will receive the Excellence In Tourism Award
• Tibor Hollo, Florida East Coast Realty, will receive the Leonard “DOC” Baker Lifetime Achievement Award

In addition to a wonderful evening for these honorees, a special insert will be created in the Miami Herald to be distributed to 30,000 residences in celebration of their achievements. Full color advertisements start at $300 and all proceeds from the Miami Herald insert benefit the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Education Foundation, a 501(c) 3 created to provide scholarships to graduating Beach High students, as well as additional educational programming in Miami Beach including the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, on-site healthcare in all eight of Miami Beach public schools, and providing teacher grants for innovative educational programs.
