Bianca ODonnell, realtor at Keller Williams Miami Beach is the organizer of the Miami Beach Parents Meetup. The Meetup offers local parents’ FREE, fun and educational activities for children. The December meetup was a focus group with Deborah Weed, the author of Paisley’s Last Quill. It was a great opportunity for parents to gain insight from each other about their own challenges of self-worth throughout their childhood experiences.
Paisley’s Last Quill is a captivating story. Imagine, The Devil Wears Prada meets Winnie the Pooh. Paisley, a wide-eyed, imaginative porcupine, dreams of being a fashion designer. She enters the backbiting animal fashion world, using her quills to pin up the swaggerific creations for a prickly Diva. Overworked and down to her very last quill, can Paisley use her creative power to triumph? This whimsical picture book celebrates imagination, originality and believing in oneself. The quill movement empowers all people 3 to 103, to believe in themselves. As the author, Deborah Weed read the story to the children they were able to create and decorate their own quills and share what empowers them.

The Miami Beach Parents Meetup is a group of nearly 200 Miami Beach parents. The group is for parents or caretakes interested in bringing their children to entertaining and educational events and is perfect for children social networking. Although, occasionally we will offer parents night out options.
