Exclusive experiences to embark the senses this winter at the MM Club, MILA Omakase and MILA Lounge
MILA, the vibrant dining destination by Riviera Dining Group is adding 7,900 square-feet to the multi-sensory venue. Inspired by Asian and Mediterranean eating practices, MILA’s is known to transport guests on a journey through the shores of the Mediterranean and Japan, embracing the joy of life and “MediterAsian” flavors. The Miami-based hotspot’s expansion will include a new 2nd floor, which will house multiple experiences: the MM Club, MILA Omakase and MILA Lounge.
“We are thrilled to be expanding MILA, adding multiple new venues to our immersive and innovative space. The additional concepts provide the opportunity to lead the luxury and lifestyle industry in South Florida,” said Gregory Galy, CEO and Founder of Riviera Dining Group.
The MM Club, the ultra-private, members-only club will provide an intimate experience for the exclusive few that take part in Riviera Dining Group’s program. Members will be welcomed into a dark and cozy space, providing a glamorous twist to the conventional speakeasy and provide privacy to celebrities and guests who desire full confidentiality. An elegant bar covered in warm, rust-colored carved marble will serve expertly crafted cocktails with artful technique. Master columns will be wrapped in ceramic tiles while the ceiling will showcase natural fibers and wood beams intricately mimicking foliage and nature while members enjoy a specialty menu of dishes. MM offers curated programming and member perks including priority seating, custom chopstick boxes and special arrangements across all Riviera Dining Group venues. Acceptance of applications for membership is limited and requires the support of two existing members as references.
At MILA Omakase, guests are to embark on an unexpected culinary journey. Time stops as guests enter the enclosed room where the dramatic omakase countertop and 10 seats are revealed. The countertop is made from a 300-years old Red Camphor tree and created by French pipe organ builder and Guinness Book Award-winner, Matthieu Garnier. Garnier also created a 500-years old hinoki wood cutting board (Japanese Cypress) for the space, emanating a unique aromatic smell enhancing the sensory journey. The omakase experience will have 10-12 courses with additional wine and sake pairing options. Guests will have the opportunity to have a front-row seat as MILA’s chefs create innovative dishes inspired by the Japanese 52 micro-seasons. MILA Omakase is a two-and-a-half-hour experience and will have two seatings per night.
At the MILA Lounge, evenings continue as guests will enjoy an elevated and secluded nightlife experience in a glamorous atmosphere. Guests looking to be seen will have the opportunity to enjoy light bites, innovative mixology and bottle service while mingling to music from top industry DJs. The vibe will be set with warm glow lamps, wooden ceilings, and dramatic lush foliage hanging from the walls. The comfortable banquets are to be displayed in round shapes throughout, while private cabanas border the walls. The bartop will feature natural stone, while inspired by the Minoan civilization of Crete, magnifying the water and fire elements. A cement-like DJ booth will be accompanied by a signature mural piece by Etienne Moyat, the artist behind MILA restaurant’s signature artwork.
The expansion’s design was led by Lazaro Rosa-Violan and Olya Volkova. Lazaro is an internationally acclaimed designer whose work has been graced in top publications across the globe. MILA’s expansion is his second design in the United Stages and he hopes to bring his experience in global and luxury design to the project. Hailing from Spain, he describes himself as a traveler and creator of atmospheres. In addition to design, he is also a gifted painter and brings his knowledge of art and technique into his spaces. Volkova is a profound Los Angeles-based designer with projects all over the U.S., including Miami where she previously led the original design of MILA. Volkova is thrilled to be collaborating with the RDG team again, bringing her signature natural elements to the venue. She thrives in telling stories through interior design, the context of cuisine and community. The designers worked together, inspired by global travels to tell stories through their work, combining elements to create a memorable space.
To take part in these new experiences, guests will be taken to the private 2nd floor through a restricted sculptural staircase, featuring handcrafted plasters, setting an exclusive and unique tone while entering. MILA’s newly expanded venue continues Rivera Dining Groups’ standard of hospitality, service, quality and experience. Each detail has been carefully thought through to provide the ultimate form of luxury and exclusivity while creating the most transporting culinary, mixology and nightlife discovery.
Riviera Dining Group is preparing for the debut of the restaurant’s expansion, hiring 50-70 new staff members both front and back of house. For more detail on hiring at MILA and to apply, visit https://www.milarestaurant.com/join-the-team.
