The Equipment Donation Grant will impact more than 2,000 youth overall across the four recipients, which are located in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
The Miami Marlins Foundation and Bally Sports Florida are teaming up to provide youth in South Florida the opportunity to access quality equipment at local parks and leagues with the Equipment Donation Grant presented by Bally Sports Florida. Police Athletic League (PAL) of Hallandale Beach will be kicking off the baseball season with Opening Day ceremonies on Saturday, March 5.
In addition, PAL of Hallandale Beach has been selected as one of four recipients of the Equipment Donation Grant presented by Bally Sports Florida that will service the 800 youth in their baseball program. During the Opening Day festivities, the Marlins and Bally Sports Florida will present the league with a variety of equipment that includes bats, baseballs, gloves, hitting screens, and more.
The Equipment Donation Grant presented by Bally Sports Florida aims to reduce the financial barrier to local baseball and softball organizations by supplying the necessary equipment to their program. Four organizations – PAL of Hallandale Beach (Broward County), City of Miami Parks and Recreation (Miami-Dade County), City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation (Broward County) and Phipps Park Baseball (Palm Beach County) – were selected as the four recipients, which will impact more than 2,000 youth across South Florida by providing needed equipment.
