Guests frequent Joia Beach to savor tantalizing dishes with their toes in the sand, sip on craft cocktails from the comfort of their luxurious day beds, take in water views of Biscayne Bay, and enjoy the sounds of live DJs and entertainment.
The spectacular setting at Joia Beach, designed by the world-renowned Francois Frossard, creates an idyllic backdrop for guests to dine formally or lay out and soak up the sun on luxurious day beds while enjoying light bites and refreshing cocktails. Upon arrival, guests enter through a long and picturesque pathway encompassed by lush jungle greenery, which seamlessly opens up onto Joia Beach’s pristine beachfront area on Watson Island.
The beachside venue, situated at the northern tip of Jungle Island, features a lounge area, offering guests an active space to enjoy amenities and special activities, live music and weekly DJ’s. Joia Beach serves as a quintessential seaside hotspot – accommodating everything from intimate celebrations to group mingling and social happenings, to romantic dining on the beach. Anchorages are available for guests arriving by yacht via tender service which must be booked in advance when making a reservation, and an eclectic outdoor ambiance paired with exceptionally delicious food offers a lively, fun and relaxing setting year-round.
A carefully curated European-inspired menu and an expertly tailored selection of hand-crafted signature cocktails are available for guests to enjoy at the seaside restaurant. The menu includes dishes such as: Tuna Tartare Provencal with tomato, capers, lemon juice, shallots, and crostini; Lamb Chops with oyster mushroom, bulgur, and sweet moroccan sauce; and the Tomahawk with 42-ounce angus ribeye, and baby bok choy, and seasonal weekly chef’s specials. The cocktail menu offers fresh and unique libations such as the Pure Joia with Cazadores reposado, lime juice, grilled pineapple, ancho reyes, and Union mezcal; Girl from Miami with Belvedere Vodka, Aperol, lemon, passion fruit puree, topped with prosecco; Froze Blanc with Sauvignon Blanc, Grey Goose Vodka, and rose mix; and Whisky A Go-Go with Dewars, Luxardo, Triple Sec, and lime juice.
Every Wednesday to Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. guests can enjoy Joia Beach’s Paradise Social Happy Hour in the beach lounge to indulge in bites such as Wild Caught Shrimp, and Hummus or Tzatziki dip with pita, as they sip on cocktails such as the signature Miami Vice Mojito. On Saturdays, visitors can enjoy beats by resident DJ, Ella Wild from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and a guest DJ from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m bringing the electric beach vibe every weekend. Set to start on September 24, Joia Beach will be rolling out a new lunch offering every Friday-Sunday starting at 12:00 p.m. including a fresh unique take on the menu that guests will not get anywhere else.
Joia Beach is open for lunch and dinner from 12:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Saturday & Sunday; from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday-Friday for happy hour and dinner; and is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
