In honor of OLLA’s first Easter celebration, the Mexican themed concept rolled out something way better than the average buffet and a chance to pose with a bunny. Switch things up and make the holiday a “Sunday Funday,” with bottomless drinks and an Adult Eater Egg Hunt. There were also children’s menu available so kids can partake in the festivities.
Executive Chef/Owner Scott Linquist prepared brunch classics that stick true to the soul of Mexican cuisine. Starting with made-to-order Guacamole with Chips, freshly prepared salsas for the table , and relish traditional dishes like Chilaquiles – baked tortillas, fried egg, cheese blend crema, salsa verde with additional toppings including chorizo, bacon, duck carnitas and lamb barbacoa or Huevos Rancheros – sunnyside eggs, crisp blue tortillas, ham, roasted peppers, tomato sauce and queso fresco. Adventurous eaters also had the option to try Menudo, which is a true Mexican stew made of pork, tripe, feet, hominy, red chile caldo topped with a fried egg.
Lunch items were also available like Enchiladas, Bolillo (sandwiches) and Cazuelitas served with blue and white corn tortillas for a DIY taco. Kids also has a piece of the festivity treats with a sweet and savory French Toast served with plantains and dulce de leche, Fideos and butter, Chicken tacos and Quesadillas.
At the strike of 4:00 PM adults gathered by the bar for an Easter Egg Hunt, just in time for happy hour! Eggs were hidden throughout the restaurant’s interior and exterior with fun-filled prizes. The grand prize, also known as The Golden Egg concealed a mezcal and mole pairing dinner for two, especially prepared by Chef Linquist.
