New Italian canal-front restaurant announces a weekend brunch complete with inspired brunch bites, fun cocktails and groovy beats

Already receiving rave reviews after opening last month, Osteria Morini Miami Beach, the newest restaurant from award-winning New York-based Altamarea Group, has announced the launch of weekend brunch on Saturday, March 13.

The restaurant, located at the Kimpton Palomar South Beach with a separate, waterside entrance along the Collins Canal on Alton Road, brings the vibe of New York City’s Soho neighborhood, highlighting the soulful, authentic cuisine from Northern Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region. This fare is well-represented on the brunch menu, featuring a variety of both light and decadent options and cocktails set to throwback groovy beats. Guests can select seating in the expansive dining room or alfresco along Collins Canal.

The brunch menu is a collaboration between Corporate Executive Chef Bill Dorrler, who has launched all Morini restaurants, and Altamarea veteran Chef de Cuisine Julio Cesar Ramos, offering a mix of classic brunch dishes with an Italian twist, staying true to the Osteria Morini brand. Divided into several sections, standout Antipasti ($14-19) include the Fried Burrata stuffed with kale pesto and served with a stewed San Marzano tomato sauce. Uova or Eggs ($16-25) includes the Benedict with a lobster and caviar hollandaise sauce and the Polenta served with a mushroom ragù, poached egg and fonduta sauce. The Entrées ($15-38) section features the Pane Rustica, a challah french toast, creme fraîche, local Lambrusco strawberries and hot honey bacon; and the Steak & Eggs with skirt steak, over-easy eggs, potato and salsa verde. Toasts ($15-21) including the Ricotta and Jam served with sheep’s milk ricotta, seasonal jam and toasted oats and the Smoked Salmon served with American caviar, herbed creme fraîche onion, and crispy capers. The Contorni or Sides ($6-15) are not to be missed including the Crispy Rosemary Potatoes. A selection of pastries from world-renowned pastry chef Antonio Bachour’s Bachour Bakery and the famous Morini Bomboloni ricotta doughnuts served with a key lime Anglaise round out the brunch.

Diners can also enjoy Morini favorites including Battilardo ($26), a selection of cured meats, cheeses and spreads served with grilled bread and tigelle ($26) and House-made Pastas ($27) including Rigatoni with wild mushroom ragù, rosemary, black truffle Moliterno and Torcia Nera with squid ink pasta, seppia and shrimp ragù, and Pomodoro.

Tantalizing brunch cocktails include the Aperol Mimosa with orange juice, Prosecco and Peychaud’s bitters; Café Negroni made with Borghetti espresso liqueur, Campari, Punt e Mes and Appleton’s rum; and the Brusco Spritz with Aperol and Lambrusco di Sorbara. All cocktails are priced at $15.

Conveniently nestled between the Sunset Harbour and West Avenue neighborhoods, Morini is already well on its way to becoming the go-to spot for locals in the Miami Beach community. “Osteria” translates to a place where an owner “hosts”, and whether stopping by for an aperitivo, espresso, hearty meal, or a quick rendezvous, guests can expect to feel at home at Morini.
