In 1978, the Miami Beach PAL set its sights on providing a proper Thanksgiving meal to the less fortunate families within our community. This upcoming Thanksgiving season marks the 40th year of such worthwhile work, only made possible by generous individuals of the community.
Miami Beach PAL is once again kindly asking its supporters to come together and help sponsor the 40th Annual Thanksgiving basket Giveaway where they hope to feed 300 families in need. They plan to do this by purchasing Thanksgiving Dinner Boxes from local Publix Supermarkets. The dinner box will feed a family of 7 to 10 and includes a 10-12 pound turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, marshmallow delight, cranberry orange relish and dressing.
The cost for this annual event is approximately $15,000 ($50 per dinner box.) Can they count on your help to meet their goal of feeding 300 families?
If so, please make checks payable to Miami Beach Police Athletic League and mail it to 999 11th Street, Miami Beach FL 33139 or call (305) 531-5636 Ext. 21 and they will be happy to pick up your check.
In addition, you are cordially invited to be part of the 40th Annual Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway. Join them as they hand out these dinner boxes to smiling families. The event will take place at the North Beach Bandshell 7575 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139 on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 6:00 PM.
