Aldo Lamberti opens his eighth restaurant making Palat Miami his first in Florida
Palat Miami is now open in the trendy Buena Vista/Design District of Miami. The latest restaurant concept from Aldo Lamberti, one of Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia’s most prolific restaurateurs, represents the first of the Aldo Lamberti Family of Restaurants to open outside of southeastern Pennsylvania and the New Jersey area.
Palat Miami’s diverse menu was created by Executive Chef Pippo Lamberti and features contemporary Italian-inspired accented small plates, charcuterie, pastas and tapas. Using local ingredients, Chef Pippo blends Miami flavors with traditional staples to create modern twists on the dishes he first experienced in his hometown in Italy. He uses techniques he learned during his 10-year tenure as executive chef at Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti in Philadelphia, PA and Cuisson at Café Boulud in Palm Beach, FL.
Palat Miami’s signature dishes include Sea Urchin with Squid Ink Pasta and Crab Meat; Housemade Beet Ravioli; and Charred Octopus with Artichoke and Rosemary Pesto. The menu also features new dishes crafted by Chef Pippo and Sous-Chef Dayan Hernandez such as Peas & Bacon Crostini, Small Bites of Piquillo Peppers, and Porchetta.
“I moved to Miami in 2011 and since then have seen an incredible transformation in the local food scene,” said Executive Chef Pippo Lamberti, “At Palat Miami, my goal is to make great food using the best ingredients Miami has to offer infused with the traditional techniques I’ve learned throughout the years. We designed Palat’s menu focusing on small plates so guests can sample a variety of dishes and flavors.”
The chic restaurant design is inspired by the Mediterranean coast which is highlighted by the rustic furniture. With 85 seats, the restaurant features floor-to-ceiling glass windows that slide open to create an al fresco dining experience. Located in the main dining room is a handcrafted chef’s table made of French pine wood. Aldo Lamberti purchased a unique 17-foot-long piece of wood that he had hand cut lengthwise to create the chef’s table as well as several other tables. The focal point of the restaurant is the open-air kitchen where guests can watch Chef Pippo and team in action. The outdoor garden dining area is projected to open early fall which will add additional tables and dining space.
Over the past 30 years, the Aldo Lamberti Family of Restaurants has become known for attention to detail, quality ingredients and fresh dishes in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region. The Family of Restaurants is excited to bring to Miami their culinary craft.
“I chose Miami because it’s closer than Italy! My family and I have truly enjoyed the time we have spent here in in Miami over the past 10 years,” said Aldo Lamberti. “During my time here, I visited several areas and could really feel the energy of the Design District as well as the growth potential in the neighboring Buena Vista area. When choosing our restaurants’ location, we knew we wanted to be part of a neighborhood area that is still growing and Buena Vista is that perfect blend.”

Palat Miami is open for lunch and dinner six days a week, Tuesday – Sunday. Palat Miami’s happy hour is served Tuesday to Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It features specially priced wines by the glass or bottle and appetizers.
