PINK PIE TO OPEN IN THE HEART OF WYNWOOD

Assorted Pie Box

Pie and Coffee Shop Offers Craft Sweet and Savory Pies and Full Beverage Program

Celebrated South Florida-based pie shop, Pink Pie, announces the opening of its flagship location in Wynwood by Fall. Situated in the heart of Miami, near Wynwood Walls, the 900-square-foot pie and coffee shop will offer a New York-inspired minimalistic and modern space where visitors can enjoy handmade mini pies and a well-crafted coffee and beverage program.

Pink Pie will bring an all-new innovative approach to the world of pie with mini pies that are small in size but bold in flavor. The pies are three inches, made fresh daily, with sweet and savory options. The company innovates in flavors and uses modern techniques to enhance the pie experience. The kitchen is constantly creating new flavors, including vegan and gluten-free options. The Wynwood shop will feature nine sweet options and three savory options at all times, with some flavors being part of the permanent menu and others will rotate according to season and special holidays. Permanent flavors include Oreo Nutella, Key Lime, Guava Cheese, Salted Caramel and Vegan and Gluten Free Coconut Dulce de Leche. Limited-edition summer flavors include but are not limited to Passion Fruit, Chocolate Cream, Sweet Corn, and Pistachio, while fall favorites are Pumpkin Cookie Butter, Maple Bacon, Pecan and Cranberry Mascarpone.

Drawing on the owners’ experience of working at Michelin starred restaurants in New York City, husband and wife duo Michael McGowan and Paloma Machado-McGowan create special flavors that might seem ordinary at a first glance but are far from it. For instance, the S’mores pie is smoked with hickory wood and uses burnt marshmallows inside the filling, recreating the s’mores campfire experience. Savory pies include Bacon, Egg and Cheese, Five Onion and Duck Confit, among others. All pies are the same price regardless of flavor. Savory pies are $3 and for sweet flavors, the larger the purchase quantity, the lower the individual price per item. Pies start at $3 for one pie, 2 pies for $5; 4 pies for $9.50; 6 pies for $14; 10 pies for $22.70; 12 pies for $27 and 18 pies for $40.

Apart from mini pies, Pink Pie will feature “pies’cream sandwiches” (Choice of two pies with a scoop of ice cream, $6) and pie milkshakes ($6.50) with the available flavors of the day. The shop will also offer a full beverage program that complements the pies, including coffee, tea, craft beer and wine. Pink Pie’s coffee is sourced by local small-batch Miami roaster With Coffee highlighting single origin beans. The coffee menu includes espresso-based drinks as well as other extraction methods that allow for individual or group consumption, such as pour overs (V60, Chemex), French press and AeroPress. The shop will feature a large format growler of cold brew and drip coffee to go. The beer program features local South Florida breweries, while the wine is sourced from renowned wine producers Macari Vineyard in North Fork, Long Island. Prices of beverages range from $2 to $6.50.

“Our purpose at Pink Pie is to allow customers to enjoy a whole pie experience without having to commit to one large single flavor or merely a slice,” said co-founder and CEO Paloma Machado-McGowan. “We strive to provide the perfect complement to every pie with our high-quality beverage program – it’s really about delivering the full experience.”

Upon entering Pink Pie, guests will be greeted by a cool, welcoming ambiance complete with a large neon sign of their motto “don’t be shy, try some pie™” and late 90s, early 2000s hip-hop music just loud enough to nod your head to it. Inside the 20-seat shop, the subway-tiled walls, concrete, and wood- accented furnishings transport guests to New York City and exude a warm, upbeat urban yet minimalistic environment to enjoy a signature three-inch pie, coffee or alcoholic beverage. The shop will also house a line of Pink Pie retail items for purchase including tote bags, snapbacks, bandanas, fanny packs, buttons, T-shirts and more.

Pink Pie will be located at 170 NW 26th Street, Miami, FL 33127. Street parking is available in the surrounding area. Mobile orders will be available for local delivery through Uber Eats. Pink Pie will also operate a retro-style mobile shop to be used for events and pop-ups in the area. The company maintains a shop inside the Yellow Green Farmers Market in Hollywood, Florida at 1940 N 30th Rd. Unit #112, Hollywood, FL 33021.
