In most of my columns I write about the potential for gaming in and around Miami Beach. I touch on what’s going on in the legislature and the political strategies being employed by those eying gaming opportunities in South Florida. This column will highlight a few of the local gaming properties and what they offer:
Seminole Hard Rock Casino: Located in West Hollywood about 40 minutes from the Beach. Hard Rock is the behemoth of South Florida casinos. Hard Rock offers over 2,000 slot machines and live blackjack tables. Over 20 restaurants and bars compliment the outstanding lineup of national concert and comedy acts that are offered.
Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino: Located in Hallandale Beach, Gulfstream offers 1,200 slot machines and live thoroughbred racing throughout the year. Gulfstream also features an outdoor retail shopping and dining mall. Visitors will find a two story casino with a poker room on the first floor.
Magic City Casino: Located just 10 minutes from the Beach, Magic City has 800 slot machines coupled with interactive blackjack, craps, and roulette.Magic City presents an extensive lineup of local and national performers. Magic City provides scheduled and on demand shuttle service from the beach Thursday through Sunday.
