Robert B. Newman, MBA, Managing Partner of National Planning Corporation (NPC), is the recipient of GAMA International’s Brian H. Early Frontline Excellence Award.
The honor recognizes superior frontline managers who are directly responsible for a portion of an agency or firm, including recruiting, launching and mentoring new associates, agents or advisors. Cited for outstanding leadership, Mr. Newman, who has been with National Planning Corporation since 2001, accepted the award at LAMP, GAMA’s annual conference, this past March in Nashville, TN.
The Brian H. Early Frontline Excellence Award highlights managers who are role models for others and are seen as emerging leaders in their companies. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding success in helping to build their firm or agency through developing, growing and leading teams.
“I am honored to be the recipient of this prestigious award which is associated with an outstanding leader within our industry,” said Mr. Newman. “I joined this industry to impact the lives of others, help people become financially secure in any circumstance and help them build and manage generational wealth. At this point in my career, I realize that I’m driven to lead andmentor other professionals in our business to do the same for their clients. It’s all about expanding the message and touching the lives of more people.”
Mr. Newman serves as a member of NPC’s Executive team, and is involved with the firm’s longterm planning and corporate vision. He is also a third-generation comprehensive financial professional. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Washington University in St. Louis, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Miami. He serves as the Chairman of the Professional Advisory Council (PAC) of the Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and also as the Membership Integration Chairman of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO/YPO). He also serves on the Alumni Board & Planned Giving Council of Ransom Everglades School. He’s a NAIFA Miami-Dade member, Million Dollar Roundtable (Court of the Table) Qualifier. He’s also a past board member of the Community Relations Board of the City of Miami Beach.
