The City of Miami Beach and Rhythm Foundation are gearing up for the second annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival on Saturday, March 17 at the North Beach Bandshell from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing back an expanded version of last year’s rocking event, to include more talented youth artist acts, a pop-up skate park and live art interactions for the entire family,” said Miami Beach Commissioner John Elizabeth Alemán.
The eight selected youth performers include: Arrowhead, Dayana Maza, Ex Presidents, Peach, Play on Words, Ripcord, Unnamed and YMU Jazz Combo. Opening the main stage will be the Nautilus Middle School Jazz Band, and two legacy acts, including FIN!FANG!FOOM! and Miami Beach Senior High Rock Ensemble. The festival will be hosted by iHeart Radio personality Chris Cruz, and will culminate with a performance by the beloved band Spam Allstars.
This year, the festival will feature an additional performance area, an Acoustic Garden Stage, where the following acts will play: Alexander Tanev, Fienberg Fisher Rock Ensemble, Isabella Velasquez, Lily & Jake, Lily Poses, Monet and Valentina Koehler Baptista.
The Acoustic Garden Stage will also host exciting musical walk-in competitions, including a guitar solo, drum solo and air guitar solo. They will be open to the public with same day sign-ups and exciting prizes.
The festival will also provide attendees with other fun activations by Coca-Cola and T-Mobile.
All proceeds of the suggested $5 donation will go towards local youth music education.
