Richard Caring, British businessman and restaurateur who owns many of London’s most fashionable restaurants, the globally renowned private members’ club, Annabel’s, and is a major shareholder in Soho House group, will bring the lauded Sexy Fish to Miami.  Slated for a Fall 2021 launch, Sexy Fish will open in Brickell, Miami’s hottest neighborhood.

Sister restaurant Sexy Fish London, located in Berkeley Square, the heart of Central London, opened in 2015 and draws a crowd as stylish as its Mayfair address.  Chef Director Bjoern Weissgerber serves a diverse menu inspired by the seas of Asia, with a focus on Japan, in the hedonistic surrounds of the glittering restaurant.

The Miami outpost will retain the signature dishes of the original Sexy Fish such as Duck Salad, vegetarian sushi, Smoked Tuna Belly, Crispy Eringi Mushroom, Black Cod, King Crab and Bone Marrow and maybe the best cheesecake, with the addition of new dishes and bold, seasonally-inspired flavors overseen by Weissgerber.

Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the look and feel of Sexy Fish Miami will be glamorous and opulent.  The decor is set to surprise and delight guests, with an incredible 10 artworks by Damien Hirst, as well as an installation by Frank Gehry comprised of 26 fish lamps, a ceiling adorned with gold and a magnificent fish tank, housing live coral and a colorful assortment of tropical fish.

A destination bar will boast the US’s largest Dom Perignon selection, alongside Opus One wines and a hard-to-resist drinks list, as well as unusual cocktails using innovative techniques and exploring the many influences of the Asian continent.  Signature Sexy Fish cocktails include the Popcorn Old Fashioned, Faith in Paloma, Pornstar and Son of Gibraltar.

Sexy Fish Miami will also offer an exclusive late-night entertainment experience, allowing guests to enjoy the DJ’s tunes and food and drink options well into the night.

The exterior hoardings will be unveiled in June 2021, giving Miami visitors and locals alike a taste of what is to come with the latest addition to the vibrant culinary scene.
