Few & Far will unveil “10 Outta 10” gallery show, Museum of Graffiti Skate Ramp presented by BABE Rosé, Sprayground pop-up shop, VIP “Red” Opening Party by Eat Me Guilt Free and more
The Confidante Miami Beach, a playful oceanfront oasis located in Miami Beach’s popular Mid-Beach neighborhood, is pleased to announce its 2021 Miami Art Week lineup in partnership with the Museum of Graffiti.
During Miami Art Week, The Confidante and Museum of Graffiti are ‘ramping things up’ with Few & Far Women, an assemblage of talented female graffiti writers, street artists, activists and skaters from around the world, and BABE Rosé to create, paint and activate a custom-made large-scale skate ramp in the hotel’s Backyard between its two pools. Visitors can look forward to skate demonstrations from the Skate Nymphs, an inclusive group of skaters supporting women, men and the LGBTQAI+ community, along with other amateur local skaters throughout the week. As part of Museum of Graffiti Beachside’s rotating art residency, Few and Far will unveil the “10 Outta 10” art exhibit of 30 pieces celebrating the crew’s 10 year anniversary throughout the first floor of The Confidante. All work will be available for purchase and a scannable QR-code with a custom audio tour will be available to the public.
Festivities will begin Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 7pm with an invite only VIP launch party presented by Eat Me Guilt Free, a female owned and operated company that is heavily focused on including female artists within their branding and corporate culture. The event will be a red-themed party, filled with skate demonstrations, celebrity DJ sets, and hand-crafted, artisan healthy foods with unprecedented protein-to-carbohydrate ratios.
Sprayground, the world’s most innovative streetwear and lifestyle brand bringing bold and edgy products to life, will have an exclusive retail pop-up all week along inside The Confidante’s 1930s House, equipped with its stand-out street apparel as well as its iconic and world famous uniquely designed backpacks for purchase, along with limited edition releases throughout the week.
The week will culminate with an all-female panel discussion highlighting the importance of including female artists in corporate culture, moderated by Miami social-media personality, talent manager and entrepreneur, Yes Julz.
“We are thrilled to provide our guests and the community with yet another exciting season of programming and partnerships,” said Amy Johnson, general manager of The Confidante Miami Beach. “The Confidante continues to produce experiences guests and visitors cannot find anywhere else from stand-out artwork to opportunities for the community. We strive to provide the arts and female artists a platform for their work and continue to be a leader as an inclusive hotel in South Florida.”
The ongoing partnership with the Museum of Graffiti named Museum of Graffiti Beachside features a quarterly rotating local art residency at the iconic hotel that aims to elevate graffiti while engaging new audiences with the art form. Few and Far’s show is the third installment coming after two incredible talents, Jel Martinez and Ahol Sniffs Glue. Few and Far has female members from around the world and seeks to validate emerging styles of art for the next generation. To-date, they have brought art to communities in Cuba, Bali, Thailand, India, the Bahamas, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, UK, Canada, Mexico, Nepal, Brazil, Panama, Venezuela, Ecuador and Costa Rica. The Few & Far gallery show will be available for public viewing through February 22, 2022.
“We chose to present only female artists from this genre during the height of Miami’s art season in order to present a new perspective on a culture that is traditionally a male-dominated space,” said Allison Freidin, co-Founder of Museum of Graffiti. “We are especially thankful to our friends at Babe, Eat Me Guilt Free, and Sprayground who helped bring this vision to life.”
