Experience Bold Flavors with a Touch of the Unexpected at this New Retro-Inspired Restaurant and Lounge.
The Confidante Miami Beach, a retro-glam oceanfront oasis in the buzzing Mid-Beach neighborhood, is pleased to announce its new restaurant concept, Ambersweet. The restaurant is named for the vibrant Ambersweet fruit, which is equal parts grapefruit, tangerine and sweet orange and grown only in Florida. Ambersweet at The Confidante Miami Beach is designed to honor the Magic City’s retro-glam heyday while offering fresh, local ingredients and modern indulgences. Led by Executive Chef Armando Diaz, Ambersweet’s menu celebrates the many distinct cultures of Miami. The menu also showcases the talents of Senior Restaurant Chef Rachel Nugent, a New York City standout who has led teams at Michelin-star restaurants including The Clocktower and Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare.

Ambersweet will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Guests will delight in standout dishes for breakfast such as the House-Made Pastrami Benedict and Calle Ocho Avocado Toast with a crispy plantain toston; lunch offerings including Octopus Tacos and Steak Frites; and sophisticated dinner menu items such as East and West Coast Oysters, Mushroom Bolognese and Lobster Ravioli. Each dish is meant to bring a special connection to the overall guest experience, from a tableside pour of sauce to finishing touches with housemade oils unique to The Confidante.
A well-rounded wine list complements the menu’s local flavors while supporting small producers and family owned wineries. The menu also features a creative selection of classic cocktails with a retro twist with favorites including the Smoked Negroni using Thyme torched on Hickory Wood and the Botanical Spritz with vodka, grapefruit, rose and club soda.
The menu is enhanced by Ambersweet’s mid-century inspired design featuring rich colors, punchy fabrics and whimsical art and accents. Whether sitting in the elegant dining room or outside on the moonlit patio, the 108 seat, 3,671 square-foot eatery offers the perfect setting to converse over delicious cuisine and cocktails. Guests will enjoy a relaxed elegant vibe as they catch up with friends, spend quality time with loved ones or celebrate special occasions.
Adjacent to Ambersweet, guests will find The Lounge at The Confidante Miami Beach, offering an extensive cocktail and bites menu. Inspired by Bethany Anne “Babs” Beckwith — a dazzling 1950s socialite, pilot and true bon-vivant who personifies Miami’s golden era — The Lounge at The Confidante embodies the fabulous spirit and energy of Miami Beach. Guests will relish in the laid back yet glamorous design, featuring luxe velvet seats and sophisticated accents. The Lounge’s standout retro and handcrafted cocktails are carefully created with house-made syrups and aromatic ingredients, along with playful garnishes such as a rose-shaped ice sculpture and an ice sphere with a hammer to crack. Guests can also delight in bites courtesy of Ambersweet including Scallop Crudo, Tapioca Chicharron Chips with chile, lime and coriander, plus a stylish Charcuterie and Cheese Board. Guests can also look forward to live entertainment from local bands on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
Ambersweet is located at The Confidante Hotel at 4041 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Fl 33140 and will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner service, from Monday – Sunday from 7am – 11am for breakfast, Monday – Sunday from 11am – 3pm for lunch and Tuesday-Saturday from 6pm – 10pm for Dinner.
