Since 3D movies are all the rage, artist/publisher Brigitte Andrade aka “Bibi” brought 3D Art to Art Basel Miami Beach. Bibi and ArtDecemberMiami.com, her website dedicated to art in Miami, sponsored an exhibition titled “Extraordinary Journey Into 3D” at the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce during Art Basel. Bibi sponsored the exhibition and joined Miami-based artists Mamushka, Jeanette Romeu (AKA Galaxy Girl), Anastasia the Great and Giovanni DeCunto from Boston, as one of the artists exhibiting work. These artists had their original art converted into 3D by Ramesh Kannappan, owner of 3DPhotoFlip.com. The exhibition of was displayed on the the 3rd Fl of the MB Chamber of Commerce from Tuesday, November 30 to Friday, December 3rd. Brigitte and Ramesh Kannappan have now formed a new company where they can transform your art/photography into 3D.
The opening reception, which was conveniently located across the street from Art Basel Miami Beach and Design Miami, was attended by the participating artists as well as many local and visiting vip’s. Among those that attended the exhibition were, President and CEO of the Miami Beach Chamber, Jerry Libbin & his wife Raquel Libbin, Willard Shepard from NBC, Naomi Wilzig (owner and curator of WEAM), George Neary of GMCVB, singer Nathaniel Reed, Ed Amaral Jr., Gino Graceffo, Martha Salazar, Ingris Palmer, publicist Brigitte Grosjean, artists Dena and Stewart Stewart, Andrea Bertello, Larry Soroka, photographer/writer James Cubby, Harvey J. Burstein, Char Libov, Henry Perez & designer Lumari. Artist Joey Mugica set up a graffiti photo shoot for the occasion. Music was provided the global artist Galaxy Girl. Sponsors included Catering by Valter Romeo, Abuelo Rum, Blackstone Wine, ItsABundt.com, MiamiARTzine.com, PremierGuideMiami & MobileMike.com.
This multi-talented business woman is also the Publisher of the cult classic comic book “The Adventures of Bibi & Friends”. Brigitte is currently working on the new edition “A Celebration of Two Cities” Miami/New York Edition due out in March 2011.
