Self Defense & Kung Fu Fitness Clinic Saturday, January 24th, enjoy a fun day of free fitness and self-defense training, at the park on 92nd Street & East Bay Harbor Drive. Presented by the Danketsu Martial Arts Program, the event is free of charge and open to kids and adults. (Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)

• 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM Self Defense Training
• 12:30 PM – 1 PM Martial Arts Demonstration

AARP Driving Class for Seniors
On January 27th, folks 50 and older are invited to attend a refresher course on defensive driving. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. All participants must pre-register and may receive a 3-year insurance discount upon completion of the course, if eligible. To register, please call 305-929-3160. The class will be from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM inside the Bay Harbor Islands Council Chambers.
Chasing Tales Comedy Improv Troupe Returns to Bay Harbor Islands
Miami’s second-oldest improv troupe, Chasing Tales, will be bringing their newest piece, La Enriqueta, an homage to Miami’s diversity with a decidedly Latin flavor, to the Bay Harbor Islands Town Council Chambers on Saturday, January 31st, at 8:30 PM. Bay Harbor Islands 9th Annual 5K/10K Run and Walk
Join Bay Harbor Islands, February 1st at 8:00 AM, for the 9th Annual 5K/10K Run & Walk. Get the application at http://www.bayharborislands.org/, or register on site the day of the event. Race day registration and packet pick-up starts at 6:30 AM.
2015 Surf-Bal-Bay Relay for Life
Mark your calendars, and get ready to lace up for life! The Surf-Bal-Bay Relay for Life is set for Saturday, March 14, from 3 PM – 9 PM. Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise muchneeded funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay For Life movement. Gather on the beach at 9600 Collins Avenue to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much.
