100 Years Young: Miami Beach celebrates its Seniors!
-Commissioner Michael Góngora will present Alicia Viera with a lifetime Proclamation-
WHO/WHAT: Alicia Viera is a Miami Beach resident born in Havana, Cuba on November 1 ,1918. She arrived in the United States in 1949 to live in New York City. Alicia has been a teacher and a talented painter. Alicia has taught painting to seniors in several centers across Miami-Dade County.
“We want to recognize Alicia’s outstanding contributions to Miami Beach,” expressed Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Góngora. “She has lived a remarkable life and has been generous in sharing her love of art with others. Miami Beach is thrilled to recognize Alicia in her 100th year!”
