ALEKSANDRA MARZEC
ALEKSANDRA MARZEC

Aleksandra Marzec was born in Olawa, Poland, a small city in the country’s Southwest corner, where the Polish, Czech and German borders meet. Her parents, Danuta and Zygmunt Marzec were born and raised in this rural agricultural region as well. Her mother was a teacher at Aleksandra’s elementary school and her father a professional soccer player. Closest to her dad, Aleksandra soon developed stamina to keep up with him and aspired to follow in his footsteps and become a professional athlete. Her mother, however, had different plans for Aleksandra, pushing her to focus on academics and a world outside the sports.

Her father left the family when Aleksandra was still quite young. He wound up continuing his soccer career in Canada where she would spend summers with him regularly all the way into her teens. An extremely good student, she earned the opportunity to attend the International Business College in Wroclaw, Poland. where she studied languages, finance, administration and international relations and business.

One day, out of the blue, a close friend would bring astounding news to her family. She had secretly submitted Aleksandra’s name for a U.S. visa in what was then a lottery system for immigration to America from Europe. Beating incredible odds, similar to that of winning the lotto, Aleksandra was selected. Strangely enough the thought of living in Florida had never seriously crossed her mind except for an occasional fantasy of going to Orlando and doing all the scary rides at the various theme parks. She decided it was destiny and Aleksandra journey to United States began.

A determined Aleksandra, finally on American soil, hit the ground running by enrolling full time at the University of South Florida at Tampa. The language barrier was soon tamed as she began work on her BA. Four years later she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and minor in Business Administration, Marketing and Interpersonal Relations.

After spending a few years working for a software company in Clearwater, she began seeing indicators in the market which lead her to believe that the real estate industry was ready to take off. She got her real estate license and quickly got into sales of high-end residential properties in the Clearwater area right before the upside explosion in property values. Aleksandra’s reputation as a visionary quickly spread and her business took off. In September of 2004, she started Florida Suncoast Properties , a fullservice real estate brokerage. The company quickly expanded and shortly thereafter opened a Title and Mortgage division. The business was pouring in and Aleksandra hired new agents to keep up with the sales. Aleksandra now was providing and covering all aspects of real estate. She was working with traditional sellers and buyers as well a growing list of foreign investors, covering residential and commercial listings and sales.

In late 2010, Aleksandra was invited to South Beach by one of her foreign investors to meet with representatives from his company. She immediately fell in love with the area & decided that South Florida should be her next home. When she returned to Clearwater she began planning an exit strategy. She decided to call one of her close friends and very successful real estate broker in Sarasota, Sandra Osorio and asked her if she would be interested in becoming business partners and moving to South Beach. Sandra agreed and the Alek & Sandra team at Coldwell Banker was born.

Aleksandra Marzec and Sandra Osorio, both Broker-Associates, have a combined 20 years serving the needs of their clients, and bringing a vital international background to the cosmopolitan business world of Miami Beach. Her leadership ability was recently rewarded by an appointment to the chamber’s Pillar Board
