Kobi Karp achieves Leed Certification for Residential Project

Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design, Inc. has attained prestigious LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for Gardens at Driftwood, a housing community in Hollywood, Florida.  The community was designed to provide exceptional sustainable live-in accommodations to its residents with exterior and interior spaces that enhance the sense of community and environmental awareness.  The project was completed for The Gatehouse Group in collaboration with the Hollywood Housing Authority.  Obtaining Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification entails having complied with specific prerequisites in order to promote sustainable building and environmental-friendly standards.  LEED certification recognizes projects, both commercial and residential, that have applied strategies to minimize a building’s impact on ecosystems.  The certification measures sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality and innovation in addition to a few other disciplines.
