On October 2nd, the Brampton Symphony Ochestra opened their concert season with twelve year-old Angel Perez from SoBe Institute of the Arts playing Mozart’s Andante from Piano Concerto 21 in C Major. On hand were the Mayors from both, Miami Beach and Brampton as well as George Neary, Miami Beach’s Chair of Sister Cities International and Ray Breslin, the Sister Cities representative to Brampton.

In addition to Angel’s performance, Mayor Bower sang an adaptation of the Grand Opera Aria from AIDA inviting Canadians to visit Miami Beach this winter. A good time was had by all but most importantly, Angel was able to perform internationally in front of a full house or Arts Patrons in Brampton’s, world acclaimed, Rose Theater, the catalyst that has revived Brampton’s Downtown Historic District, thanks to the invitation of Maestro Robert Raines, Brampton’s Symphony Conductor and CEO.

Congratulations to Angel Perez and SoBe Arts for representing our City.
