THE DUTCH DELIVERS THIS SUMMER

Acclaimed Restaurant Introduces New Seasonally Inspired Menu Items

The Dutch Miami Beach, the Florida outpost of chef/restaurateur Andrew Carmellini’s renowned SoHo restaurant of the same name, is both an evocation of and homage to classic Miami chic and style. Beyond its cool, laidback ambiance and welcoming vibe, its known for its delicious, rustic American fare. Here, it’s delivered by a talented trio of chefs: Adonay Tafur,Josh Gripper and Richard Vaughn. And just as the thermostat climbs the chefs are rolling out an array of new delights sure to please regulars and newcomers alike.“The menu is always in a state of flux,” says Tafur. “Signatures might stay but we’re always adding new items inspired by what’s fresh or what time of year it is. But summer is a fun time to play in the kitchen because the flavors are particularly bright and balanced with a lightness and freshness you don’t see as often in the fall and winter.” Offerings spread throughout the Lunch and Supper menus include a crunchy little gem salad with sugar snap peas and orange and buttermilk dressing; as well as a BBQ chicken atop corn succotash and agrodolce. Exclusive to the Supper menu, two additional savory dishes are featured – truffle ricotta mezzaluna with delicate oyster mushrooms and fresh peas; and red snapper with artichoke barigoule, fava beans and buttery trumpets.Recognized for their excellent dessert selection, no meal at The Dutch is complete without a sweet ending. Recently appointed Executive Pastry Chef Richard Vaughn has introduced three new tantalizing creations. For chocolate lovers, a decadent black forest souffle comprised of moist devil’s food cake and paired with cherry vanilla ice cream. An indulgent and contemporary take on a classic ice cream cake is inspired by the flavors of South Florida, containing guava sorbet, cream cheese ice cream, and pastelitos. Coconut passion cake is a lovely, nutty interpretation of a traditional layered yellow cake featuring vanilla anglaise and a scoop of raspberry sorbet. The Dutch’s famous salted key lime pie also received a refresh and is now accompanied by tequila lime sauce and a tangy blackberry sorbet.

The Dutch is located inside W South Beach Hotel & Residences at 2201 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. Breakfast is served daily from 7AM to 11:30AM. Lunch is served daily from noon to 4PM.
