Save the date—the actual 24-hours—for the 4th annual petstravangaza Mega Match-a-Thon pet adoption event that begins Friday night October 21, 2016 at 11:59 pm and runs through Saturday October 22, 2016 at Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33155
Miami-Dade Animal Services (Animal Services) will host the 2016 Mega Match-a-thon event, with the participation of the Humane Society of Greater Miami (HSGM) and The Cat Network, Inc. (Cat Network). The large-scale non-stop adoption event is one of many held nationwide, in October, in collaboration with the ASPCA® to “Mega-Size” the effort to save the lives of shelter animals.
Adopters will have a 24-hour window of opportunity to meet, fall in love with and adopt one or more of over a hundred adorable cats, kittens, dogs and puppies from Animal Services, as well as partner agencies and several local rescue groups. Adoption fees to take home the pet that matches your personality or lifestyle begin at a low $30.
This year’s theme focuses on the “perfect match factor” and pet adopters are invited to take advantage of the all-night, all day celebration to “Come Find Your Perfect Match” in a fun and festive atmosphere. The event includes round-the-clock entertainment, food trucks, music and children’s activities.
