Who: City of Miami Gardens Meals Program
What: Providing cooked meals to Miami Gardens families in need.
When: April 20th at noon and continuing Monday through Friday for 4 weeks.
Where: Four City of Miami Gardens Parks:
*Buccaneer Park: 3100 NW 207th Street.
Bunche Park Pool: 15727 NW 22nd Ave.
Carol City Park: 3201 NW 185th Street
Norwood Park: 19401 NW 14th Ave.
Details: The City of Miami Gardens wants to ensure everyone in the community has access to freshly cooked meals during this difficult time as businesses are closed and people are out of work and quarantined due to COVID-19.
Beginning Monday, April 20, 2020 and for the next four (4) weeks a total of 1200 daily meals will be provided at area parks.
Each park will be able to distribute 300 meals on a first-come first-served basis. Residents are encouraged to arrive in vehicles to pick up the meals. The meals cannot be eaten at the parks. Drivers will be required to leave the park once they’ve collected their meals to return to their place of shelter to enjoy it.
*Mayor Oliver Gilbert will be at Buccaneer Park on Monday.
